1st day: Discover the interpretation center « Cap Canal »9h30 : Have a relaxing boat trip on the pleasure boat « La Billebaude », going from the harbour in Pouilly en Auxois to the harbour in Vandenesse en Auxois. You will pass through the tunnel and eight locks with the Captains running commentary 12h : Lunch in a restaurant in Vandenesse en Auxois 14h30 :Accompagnied by a local guide return by foot to the harbour in Pouilly en Auxois. 17h : Return to the harbour in Pouilly en Auxois and visit the Institute of the canal, interpretation center dedicated to the history of the Burgundy canal. 18h : Hire bicycles from the Tourist Office in Pouilly. 18h30 : By bike or by car, return to Vandenesse en Auxois to pass the night on board the barge Lady A (Bed & Breakfast for 6 people). 2nd day: Cycle along the Burgundy Canal10h30 - 11h : Departure towards Pouilly en Auxois, using the cycle route along the old towpath beside the canal. 12h : A break for lunch in a restaurant in Pouilly en Auxois. 14h30 : Go to the harbour and take the signposted cycle route to get to the reservoir of Cercey that supplies the water to the Burgundy canal. 15h30 : After having enjoyed the countryside and the calm, once again follow the signposts and continue your trip around the golf course of Chailly sur Armançon, and on to Eguilly Castle. 16h : Visit Eguilly Castle. 17h : Return to the harbour in Pouilly en Auxois |
